Benefit Cheekathon Palette

I love expensive makeup. I am addicted to any kind of makeup, actually. But I'm not one to splurge on makeup too often because I realise it's not the best option for me, as I'm a student and I don't have a job. I usually prefer to save up my money for holidays and gigs. This time, though, I really couldn't resist.

Homemade Tea Tree Deodorant

Last Summer I suddenly became allergic to commercial deodorants. One day I applied my usual deodorant and my underarm skin became itchy and developed some sort of huge pimples (TMI, sorry) that worried me a bit. I tried to use other deodorants but, apparently, they all had the same effect on me, and at some point I stopped applying deodorant altogether in order to let my skin heal. The itchiness stopped immediately, but those sort of pimples were still there. I asked Google, my mum and my pharmacist what to do and ended up using Tea Tree cream and essential oil on my bad spots. Tea Tree magically healed my armpits, and after reading Niomi Smart's blogpost about natural deodorants I ended up getting a crystal deodorant stick - which is actually not the healthiest option on the market, but didn't irritate my skin and did a pretty good job for the past six months.

This year, my friends got me an unexpected gift for my birthday - a customised starter kit to make homemade beauty products. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw it was that I had to put together the perfect deodorant for my sensitive skin. So... I'm here to show you the recipe I followed and let you know my opinions on the final product.
